You can call it the “gig economy.” You can call it the “side hustle.” You can call it whatever you want, but today millions of Americans are earning income from more than one place. Chances are you know someone who earns extra cash by shuttling people around as an Uber driver, or opening up their home via AirBNB, or doing some creative work on Fiverr. The newest opportunity for side hustlers is an industry you might not expect…real estate.

REX has introduced two side hustle programs for people looking to make some extra dough helping sell homes. Some opportunities require a real estate license, but others don’t. With a range of flexible, local opportunities and a bonus payout structure, you may find yourself turning this side hustle into your main hustle.

Here’s how it works…

Have your real estate license and want to earn extra cash?

The REX Associate Agent program is perfect for people who have a real estate license, but aren’t necessarily in the industry full-time. This position is open in all REX markets (California, Texas, New York, and Colorado), and utilizes your existing real estate sales skills. The process is simple, every day, REX has homes that buyers want to see. These visits can be private showings or a public open house. REX Associate Agents are compensated to host the showings & open houses PLUS receive a bonus if their attendee buys the home. We’re not talking about chump change either. Associate Agents can bring in hundreds of dollars in a single day! Check out some of the opportunities you’ll have…

  • Host home showings (Weekdays & Weekends)
  • Host open houses
  • Supervise a home inspection and/or termite inspection
  • Supervise a home photography session and visual inspection
  • Bonus provided if offer is accepted, following a showing or open house
  • Bonus provided if converted during a showing or open house
  • Bonus provided for converting a buyer to REX’s Buyer Rebate Program

REX works with you to find days, times, and locations that are convenient. Whenever a showing or open house opportunity comes up, you receive a text alert asking you to accept or decline. The amount you work is completely up to you.

Don’t have your real estate license?

No problem! In California, you can become a REX Showing Representative even without a real estate license. While your duties are slightly different than an Associate Agent, you still receive amazing opportunities. REX will pay for your training and increase your pay if you decide to get your real estate license after six months.

  • Host home showings (Weekdays & Weekends)
  • Host open houses
  • Supervise a home termite inspection
  • Bonus provided if offer is accepted, following a showing or open house
  • Bonus provided if converted during a showing or open house
  • Bonus provided for converting a buyer to REX’s Buyer Rebate Program
